			Gisborne Volunteer Coastguard plays an active part in the Gisborne Maritime and Coastal community by providing: Maritime Training and Education in boating Search and Rescue facilities and crew Coastal VHF Radio training and monitoring to assure safety and survival at sea for Gisborne seafarers.
